S\u00f8mandskredsene har eksisteret i mere end 50 \u00e5r og der er stadig flere aktive. De samles om S\u00f8mandsmissionens arbejde –\u00a0 om forb\u00f8n, praktisk hj\u00e6lp og f\u00e6llesskab.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Hvis man kigger godt efter i Danmark, vil man finde flere sm\u00e5 s\u00f8mandskredse. De best\u00e5r prim\u00e6rt af kvinder, som samles i private hjem en gang om m\u00e5neden.<\/p>

S\u00f8mandskredsene er meget flittige. Ofte er det h\u00e5ndarbejdet, som ligger i sk\u00f8det, mens der bliver fortalt fra arbejdet i S\u00f8mandsmissionen. Der bliver strikket vanter og halst\u00f8rkl\u00e6der, som senere bliver pakket p\u00e6nt ind og vedlagt en hilsen for s\u00e5 til sidst at blive delt ud til s\u00f8folk af en s\u00f8mandsmission\u00e6r i Danmark eller p\u00e5 Gr\u00f8nland. Det er sv\u00e6rt at m\u00e5le v\u00e6rdien af det h\u00e5ndarbejde, som kommer til udtryk i hundredevis af julegaver. Den er uvurderlig.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

S\u00f8mandskredsene er ogs\u00e5 aktive med andet h\u00e5ndarbejde, nemlig de foldede h\u00e6nder. S\u00f8mandskredsene bakker medarbejderne i S\u00f8mandsmissionen op\u00a0 gennem forb\u00f8n. Dette er det vigtigste arbejde i s\u00f8mandskredsene og igen uvurderligt i arbejdet blandt fiskere og s\u00f8folk.\u00a0<\/p>

S\u00f8mandskredsene har\u00a0 festaftener kaldet Storkredsst\u00e6vner. Her bliver alle\u00a0 i lokalomr\u00e5det inviteret med. En medarbejder fra S\u00f8mandsmissionen st\u00e5r for forkyndelsen, og efter kaffen vil denne fort\u00e6lle om oplevelser fra bes\u00f8g ombord p\u00e5 skibe og m\u00f8det med s\u00f8folk fra hele verden.\u00a0<\/p>
