For many ship crews, it is a bright spot when a seafarer missionary visits the ship.
And when you visit, it's always nice to have a little something for the "host" that can create a joy that goes beyond the visit itself and also helps to create a good atmosphere and "fertilise the soil" for "good conversation".
The seafarer missionaries already hand out Christmas presents in December, but the rest of the year they usually don't have anything to hand out apart from our magazines and possibly a Bible if a good chat leads to it. We would also like to be able to hand out other things throughout the year, such as biscuits and chocolate eggs at Easter along with small written greetings.
