Gavekort
Gift letters are of great value to the Seamen's Mission because they ensure financial support for a long time to come.
When you sign a gift letter, you can support the work and deduct your entire donation from your taxes - in other words, you support more than you actually give.
Tax rules for gift deeds
A gift letter is a legally binding support agreement according to section 12 of the Danish Tax Assessment Act.
The agreement is created between you and Sømandsmissionen and runs for at least 10 years and must be signed by both you and Sømandsmissionen.
The agreement contains either a fixed annual amount or a percentage of salary income.
There is a full tax deduction of up to 15% of the total annual income. However, in all cases, up to 15,000 DKK can be deducted even if it exceeds 15% of the total annual income.
At the same time, you can also get a deduction for gifts given based on §8a regarding ordinary gifts.
Here's how you do it
If you are interested in creating a gift letter in favour of the work of Seamen's Mission, you can download a gift letter from the box to the right, which you can fill in on screen, print out on the printer and sign.
After we have received the gift letter, we will send a copy back to you with our signature.
You are of course also welcome to call us at Head Officeand we can help you or send you a ready-made gift letter to sign.
Deposit methods
You decide whether you want to pay the full amount once a year or spread it over several instalments throughout the year.
We have collected the different ways to pay in the gift here - if you choose direct debit, which makes it easy to manage for both you and Sømandsmissionen, this can be done when completing the gift letter.
Fastgiver
Every year, Sømandsmissionen gratefully receives funds from people who have made a will in favour of Sømandsmissionen's work.
When the Danish Maritime Mission receives an inheritance, no estate tax (inheritance tax) is payable on the amount.
We would be happy to provide free assistance in creating a will in favour of the Seamen's Mission.
If you need help, please feel free to contact Lars Bækgaard at the head office.

You should continue to save receipts for the amounts paid in.
SKAT's scheme means that We need to register your social security number, in order for us to report your gift - for gift letters it is a fixed part of the agreement, whereas donors who are fixed donors or make one-off gifts must disclose Head Office About it.
