HOTEL SØMA runs the "Seamen's Home | Cafeteria & Social", which is the local diaconal and maritime welfare work. It employs 1-2 volunteers who, in collaboration with a seafarer missionary, are responsible for the welfare work.

Missional and diaconal activities
HOTEL SØMAN also wants to reach out to the city. In addition to supporting various local and social initiatives, HOTEL SØMA also carries out diaconal work through "Sømandshjemmet | Cafeteria & Social".
For example, the retirement home is regularly visited with cake and coffee under their arm and ready for a chat or a game of cards.
Every week we also visit the inmates in the city's prison, and the volunteers organise a children's club with fun, games and socialising for the children of the city.
Seafarers and fishermen naturally have a special place with us.
That's why the harbour is visited several times a week by sailor missionaries and volunteers, with new newspapers and fresh coffee.
