Maritime schools and students

The Seamen's Mission would like to meet the maritime students.

That's why Hanna Pedersen is employed as a teaching and relationship manager for all maritime education programmes in Denmark, HF maritime, navigator, engineer, ship assistant, fishing skipper, maritime FGU (preparatory basic education) and all other blue students. One of her tasks is to invite herself to maritime schools around the country for joint lessons, for example. She also contacts maritime students and teachers and invites them on sailing trips and events on the Seamen's Mission ship, Bethel. There is time to chat and be curious about navigation, the machine and life on board.

Perhaps there will be weekend trips to Bethel with, for example, maritime students and young Nordlysers from the Seamen's Mission. Nordlys is the Seamen's Mission's youth network.

In 2023, the Seamen's Mission distributed over 300 goodie bags to maritime students. Among other things, the bags contained the New Testament.

Among other things, Paul Høeg works as a welfare officer for the maritime students at Svendborg Maritime School. As he is also a seafarer missionary, it is only natural that the students occasionally sail with the Danish Seamen's Mission ship Bethel.
